Legenda XVXX
20 years of great music and the journey continues. What better way to mark Sheila Majid's two decades of presence in the music industry than to reward her legion of fans with an album they enjoyed and cherished the most: Legenda.
This time round, Sheila's re-released Legenda album will be called Legenda XVXX to commemorate Sheila's undying passion in music as well as a toast to those who appreciate our music heritage, particularly from Seniman Agung Allahyarham Tan Sri P. Ramlee.
"Legenda holds a very special place in my heart. It is a tribute album to our music legend, Allahyarham Tan Sri P. Ramlee. He is a genius in his league and has inspired many people with his great works! Legenda is special because it is the only album that is not about me. At this very moment, I feel it is appropriate to re-release this album, to remember and preserve his contribution to the music industry," said Sheila.
Today, Legenda is still recognized as Sheila's best work. The new album will feature a remake of Malam Ku Bermimpi and Kisah Rumahtangga with a touch of hip-hop, in which daughter Khaleda aka Kayda will do the rapping.
Cheeky as it may sound but Sheila said it was difficult to do the two new songs, but she commended music arrangers Mac Chew and Jenny Chin for giving the tunes a fresh interpretation.
"I hope the new album can repeat the success of the earlier one and create its own history," Sheila added.
Legenda XVXX is now available in music stores. Grab a copy and be part of the music history in Malaysia. Enjoy the album!

Alhamdulillah hirrabbil alamin. Without His blessing and your everlasting support, I would not have made it here after 20 years in the music industry! Thank you!
I chose to celebrate my 20th year of music by re-releasing the ‘Legenda’ album. Not because it was my most successful album, in terms of its sale, but simply to re-emphasize my reasons for making it 15 years ago. Fifteen years ago, I felt it was my responsibility as a local artiste to preserve Seniman Agung Allahyarham Tan Sri P. Ramlee’s beautiful work and make it relevant to my generation of that time. Twenty years onwards, I would like to present his music heritage to this generation and beyond with this album, Legenda XVXX.
I hope you will enjoy this album and for those who appreciate our music heritage, please accept my interpretation of his music with an open mind. And God willing, I hope my efforts will inspire you more to preserve not only Seniman Agung Allahyarham Tan Sri P. Ramlee’s masterpiece but also our music heritage and culture.
